The finished block weighs an extremely light 14 pounds. inside, the water jacket was first plastic coated, later blocks had a zinc coating on the inner liners. comparing the pre-war 2 cylinder engine and the copper brazed engine shows the weight was reduced from 188 to 133 pounds and horse power was increased from 12.5 to 26.5..
