building a bed frame for van We have designed the perfect bed for our transit van conversion! it starts as a giant "l" shaped couch with storage underneath and simply slides out to a bed using 500lb drawer slides.. I think our van bed frame came out nice. it's a platform bed design with legs wherever they fit around the van.there are other ways to build a bed in your van but this seemed perfect for our diy.
